MIG welders are like a metal glue gun, they have their uses but you're not going to make art with one. TIG, on the other hand, is far better for fabrication but certainly takes more skill.

Regarding the headers, it'd be interesting to see the difference in power between a cat delete USDM header and a euro header.

Actually you can lay down a bead with a MIG that looks just as good as a TIG weld. The advantage of a TIG is the heat affected zone is smaller, it welds on AC better and you can weld just about any metal.

A MIG weld is faster, much cheaper, and you can kind a weld it dirty.
