Default Re: DME Misfiring Cyl 1, 4, 6

Just replaced 6 plugs (NGK) and 6 new coils (Bosch), cleared codes, then misfire went from 1,4,6 to just 6. Drove car, the misfire went to 4,6. Cleared codes, back to just 6, then after a few minutes it goes to 4,6. So obviously it's 6 as the main cause. I'll start checking power to coil, power to injector, then the actual injector, and also the DME. This will prb take a while, as I have other projects going on. Just wanted to send update after replacing the coils and plugs.

It's fixed. The number 6 electrical connector did not go on all the way. Put terminal grease on all the plugs and reseated the connectors. It looks like the connectors don't always lock into place with the little "lever", I had to work some of them on. Car running good, and no codes.

Excellent! Glad you figured it out.

Number 6 is always a pain to work on. But always ends up stretching your leg muscles really well. So win-win I guess.
