No plans of ever S/Cing my M3, but I'm happy to see this. Very cool. Looking forward to seeing what this brings to the table. Thanks for sharing.

I like it! There is a positive displacement supercharger available for the S65. Totally changes the character of the motor so it’s not for everyone. I’d say it’s more an alternative to a turbo than a centrifugal — all the boost is in by the midrange instead of only at redline. It will probably also be priced more like a turbo system than a centrifugal. Hopefully they will have a tuned example to show before long.

It's awesome to see whipple getting involved. I've dealt with their stuff on the mustang side for quite some time, and they're great to work with

Very interesting. If packaging allowed for it, Id love to see this incorporated with a heat exchanger pre-itbs. Looks like they plan to spray water/meth to get around AITs creeping up.

One thought though, aren't positive displacement blowers usually between the throttle body and head? How does putting the blower before the ITBs work? Are they planning to delete ITBs in favor of a single TB before the blower? Hard to tell in renderings.

Default Whipple 175AX boost_engineering

Not much info posted, but here’s what’s in the thread.

The first 3D prints for the prototype Whipple 2.9L E46 M3 supercharger kit are being made. Who is ready for a positive displacement supercharger for this already awesome platform?

We will be running an aqua mist set up with water meth injection to help with heat and knock resistance!
