Great writeup and pictures. I'll definately have to consider ED for my next BMW (probably an X3 in a few years). Congrats.

Really nicely documented trip, well done. Looks like a bit of Porsche envy to me! And I'm thinking of getting a new M3...
In one of the posts You mentioned saving $10k in the process, yet you also mentioned paying $1k over invoice. Was that the price or did you have other savings somehow?

Love the seats

That is an OEM trim package called the "M3 Edition". It has factory blacked out trim including rims and tailpipes and 10mm suspension drop. Of course the special seats. No changes to the engine as on all E9X trim packages. Unfortunately, this package is NOT available in the North American Market! We ALWAYS get shafted on the good stuff!! LOLOL

Incidently, that 10mm suspension drop from the 2010 M3 Edition is what is also now put on the 2011 E9X Competion Package cars!

I saved over 10k off MSRP... paid 1K over ED invoice plus invoice pricing for all options.

haha i love porsche... just not practical enough for me otherwise I may have picked up a 997S. But after being in this car, i'm completely in love!

I'm planning on putting the other 700 miles on the car very very fast. I'll be at a DE event at the NJMP in Sept/Oct! Def have to get it on the track.

10K off MSRP? Sure beats the 58k+ dealers are trying to get for 2008 CPO's. eeek. If I could get this kind of a deal I'd order tomorrow.

Ah well, I'm debating the practicality actually and looking at M3's. As noted, the used ones are expensive and financing is cheap on new ones, so might go that way.

Thanks!
