Thumbs up BMWDirectParts.com (Husker Auto)

I just want to share my experience with BMWDirectParts.com (Husker).

They can get all OE/Genuine BMW parts and they have the lowest prices that I've found on almost literally everything.

I had made a mistake and ordered the passenger side fender liner when I really wanted the driver's side (one digit off) - I realized this upon opening the package at home.

I emailed them and explained that I had goofed up and asked if they could help me exchange.

Vic ordered the driver side right away and explained that it would come with a shipping label for me to return the other fender liner with in the same box.

What was my mistake and what I thought would be something that would take a while and cost me more money turned into a very painless experience.

They also had helped me lower the initial shipping costs as the website was displaying a large (imo) sum for shipping (I ordered something like 30 parts, but they were very small/light).

Anyway, I know everyone suggests ECS and EAS et al, which I've had fine experiences with as well, but I don't think you can beat bmwdirectparts.com for OE parts!

Also, with the prices they have, the price incentive to go OEM instead of OE vanishes imo.

Thanks for sharing. This is good to know, I will be ordering parts in coming weeks. Was your discount worth the shipping cost?

Yup I have had good experiences with them in the past when they used to be called BMWMercedesParts. Good to know it is easier to contact them now. I have noticed that their prices have gone up slightly since back then though. They used to have some amazing discounts now I find it slightly better than the rest.

Ya so what I did was I built my cart with ECS, as I find them to be pretty great on pricing, and then I built my cart on BMWdirectparts. The total was cheaper with bmwdirectparts, but ECS offers free shipping.

After emailing them (BMWdirectparts), the total, including shipping was lower with them.

I love ECS's catalogue and pictures, don't get me wrong and I do do business with them, but I loved the customer service and pricing with bmwdirectparts and wanted to share my experience.

Just to clarify the wording in bold, Husker Parts/BMWDirectParts is actually the online sales side of BMW of Lincoln (in Lincoln, Nebraska): http://www.bmwoflincoln.com/. They are a brick-and-mortar BMW dealer, not some third-party who sources BMW parts.

For the last 4 years, I've ordered 98% of my OE BMW parts from Vic at Husker and it's an outstanding experience every single time. Prices are outstanding and the shipping costs are always reasonable. They even shipped a new OE front bumper cover for my M5 for $13. I couldn't believe it.

The only downside I've noticed is since they are a small, rural dealership - they don't keep a lot of items in stock. Most has to come from the regional BMW warehouses to Husker before they package it and ship it out to you, although it seems like that typically only adds a day or two to the process. Unless you are in a big hurry, the savings are worth the wait.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably use them for my OE clutch job parts.

For sure! But to be sure, I'm not saying you have to use OE for everything. There are very good oem pieces for a job like a clutch fresh like sachs, pentosin, zf, luk, etc.. that will save you money on the entire job, but for OE pieces, I'll go back to Vic.
