Meh. I have a 5c and have only one complaint - battery life. If Apple hasn't improved that substatially with the 6, I see no reason to upgrade.

Looks like I'll be getting the regular iPhone 6 -- seems like it'll be sufficient enough, was otherwise considering making the leap to the Galaxy after being on the iPhone platform for 6 or so years.

Definitely not doing the Plus... HUGE.

Yeah, Apple didn't have the money or R&D capability to put a larger high res screen or NFC in an iPhone before. They also really want a 20MP camera but couldn't figure out how to do it. It's not like they have $100 billion lying around, let's be fair.

As opposed to the objective Apple fanboys?

No, my dilemma is 4.7 (ideal size) or 5.5 (higher DPI, better camera, more battery life).
Do you run? Or listen to your iPhone when at the gym/lifting?

.. follow up question:

Do you really want a tablet on your arm while running? Even if it is light?
No thanks.

Since I think we are in the same boat about the iWatch.. let me vent:

I have a shuffle that I can use while running or at the gym, however for running, it can't track my distances and times--- and pass that information on to me as I run along (with Nike+ on the iPhone; + Pandora + iRadio, if I'm sick of my current music).

While there are fitness watches out there like the Nike watch and the upcoming iWatch........ the base model iWatch needs to pair with an iPhone, and I bet the iWatch Sport model might require a data plan to be used solo. Fuck that. And the Nike watch I would need to bring my shuffle along for music. And the iWatch I'd need to buy bluetooth headphones? The SQ would suffer. Even if it's (iWatch Sport) $500 and then just runs solo, I only want a device to track my runs/times/distances and play music.... I don't need to be updated on Mary's new pictures of her kids and Barry's night out at the bars on FaceBook.

Whatever shape that device takes I don't really care, but for now the iWatch doesn't appeal to me. A cord would certainly be annoying if it's connected to your wrist. And again, Bluetooth SQ is lacking.

I'll keep a reasonably sized phone (iphone5, personal and iphone5s work) and use it where ever. And then get a regular 6 when the 5/5s craps out.

The 6+ has zero appeal to me and the 6 is just 'meh', no itch to get it on release day but I'll snag one eventually..

Apple reportedly has the credit card info of about 800MM people registered through iTunes.

Understandable - honestly the main reason I want to upgrade is so I can sell my 64GB iPhone 5 before the resale value really tanks. TBH I would be happy with iOS 8 on a 5/5S.

but seriously what is the difference between their systems? how is one superior or more secure than the other or are they parallel technologies?

Economy of scale. What good is a payment system if only a few hundred thousand people use it? If 800MM people instantly have access to it then you have a legitimate payment system to rival Visa & MasterCard.

I do see your point here, but I think google has a similarly huge presence if anyone does, so maybe apple pay is Visa and google wallet is MC?
