Default How much is it worth V2

A buddy of mine might sell his 993 C2S and although it's extremely irresponsible and impractical for me to purchase, I am tempted. This happens every now and then when I see a car pop up that I want and I start wondering how much I can get for mine. I don't think I will sell it, BUT I am curious what the forum thinks I will get. My car isn't exactly stock, but it's not too crazy where you can never get it back to stock-form. I have an idea of what I could get if I didn't part out and sold it as a package, but it's interesting to see what others say. Here's the general breakdown of my car:

2003 E46 M3 (10/02 still got the MK60)
Steel Gray/Cinnamon (long gone)
136k miles
SMG
Sunroof

Maintenance:
VANOS locked down with Beisan less than 10k miles ago
Subframe welded with custom plates from TC Design
WPC OE bearings
6spd conversion by playskool1 (Ray) and nervous24 (Matt)
Every maintenance completed in the last 10k miles minus tie rods, alternator, and starter

Modification:
CAE Shifter
Megan catless headers (1st batch)
AR20 welded in sect1
Buildjournal catless tune
TCK DA's revalved to handle 20% more spring rate w/ bunch of add-ons
GC Race RTABS
GC adjustable endlinks
RE Tranny mounts
Castrol SRF
DB9 Brembo 325mm front BBK w/ PFC08 pads + OE pads
996 Brembo 328mm rear BBK w/ PFC08 pads + OE pads
Bronze TE37 OG 18x10 (original owner) w/ 275/35/18 HTR ZIII
Sparco Evo2's (good till 2023)
Schroth profi2 6pt harness (good till 2022)
Kirk roll bar

Will also come with the rest of black interior. Along Silver ARC8 17x10 w/ 275/40/18 NT01's.

There's more mods, but these are the main ones that I could think of. If you want the detailed list go to my journal in my signature.
Car weighs about 3200 with half tank no driver currently. Corner balanced about 4k miles ago.

Maybe 14k?

Higher mileage
Sunroof
Modded
Smg
Pre LCI

All counting against you.

I agree with you that they don't help, but 14k seems a little low. The two wheel set ups that come with them alone cost around 4-5k.

I'm not expecting an unrealistic number, but I don't think even if I didn't include the wheels, a car with subframe reinforced, VANOS locked down, and rod bearings replaced recently with WPC treated bearings should fetch more than that. Even if the mileage is higher. Genuinely curious as to your reasoning.

When ppl make these threads, I don't include mods. I assume the owner to know to return to stock and make more $ from the part out.

I hear you on the stuff like bearings and vanos and racp, but how much does that help?

My reasoning isn't useful as I wouldn't buy a pre03.5, smg, sunroof, tracked car. I'd rather buy an 04 6mt with even more miles if I only had $14k to spend. Everybody has different logic.

A friend got an 06 zcp with 90k, smg, for $16k iirc. In socal, no less. Prices are (low)fair as long as we're not talking about an lsb or interlagos zcp or low mileage, etc.

Everybody thinks their car is worth a lot. I've got an 04 slicktop 6mt optionless silvergrey with a maintenance log longer than the great wall of china, but I can't ignore the simple fact it has 177k. Trust me, I know dem feels. That's life.

Fair enough, thanks for the breakdown. I guess Iím hoping the buyers have a greater appreciation for all the maintenance done. From a buyer standpoint, I can definitely see where youíre coming from.

I think you could fetch 15-16k. Car seems pretty bulletproof with your maintenance. Banks bearings and subframe definitely helps. Could take awhile to sell though.

Id actually prefer if the car I’m buying didn’t have those done, as I’d prefer to get them done after I purchase and know the extent of the cracks if any (no cracks for me) prior to reinforcements. Pretty much I want to know the actual condition of the car prior to any repairs and preventatives (virgin stock car bcs I’m weird). I’ll take it to a qualified shop for PPI, which would give me a fairly accurate reading of the condition.

Color combo, mileage, factory specs, and condition of the car is what I look for. If you get the car back to stock, $14k is a good deal for you. Then sell the aftermarket parts.

Fair enough. Although I do have pictures of all the work being done including subframe. Not sure if youíre familiar with TC Design, but theyíre probably one of best in California.

I was just speaking for myself, what Iíd look for if I was in the market. Not sure how many people think like me.

Your maintenance list does show you took care of it, while the car was in your ownership which is great (should help you sell it Iíd assume). I just prefer to know the full condition prior to any preventatives, like a blank canvas,...leaving me to take care of it on my terms.
