Default What dampers should i buy

Iím planning to go with double adjustable ground controls with their hybrid camber plates and adjustable weight jacks. I think that runs around $3k.

Not sure if GC has fallen out of favor but they used to be regarded as a great bang for buck coilover for our platform

Yup.. I know your predicament because i've been down this road and owned just about every setup you are considering.

PSS10 aren't fancy but they will work really well for how you plan to use them. It's the best damper for the money IMO. The Ohlins are a small set up, but spending the difference on sways, corner balancing, fresh moving parts etc will benefit you on track FAR more in the long run. Add some 550/700 springs and Hotchkis bars and you will have an absolute beast of a car on your hands that will take years of regular tracking before you are able to out-drive it.You can grow into it without being in over your head or budget. It will also be durable and easy to setup so you can focus efforts more on the driving. There is far more time to be gained on track from honing your ability than constantly fiddling with dampers that -quite frankly- you don't even know what to do with yet

If you're a beginner you're not compromising anything. There are no trophies or money handed out at DEs, just a lot of Miatas that cost less than a set of MCS shocks passing you on the outside.

I got in on the jrz group buy and went with the jrz rs1 and absolutely love them. I havenít got an alignment yet or even messed with the dampening and they are a worlds better then my old kwv2.

Id imagine so, im wondering if the pss10 @ around $1800 and a mcs or jrz single @ around $2600.
Which of the two would you prefer?
Is the mcs providing $800 more value. Or are they similar in their offerings/performance?

I'm a sucker for monotubes so of those 3, it'd come down to MCS and Bilstein.

Between those 2, I think it comes down to a cost (significant difference between Bilstein and MCS) and details, such as how they are adjusted (on front struts, Bilstein adjuster is on bottom so you'll need to kneel on the ground vs. MCS is on top), inverted strut (Bilstein) vs. regular (MCS), rebuild support, etc.

But I am a JRZ fanboi...so yeah. I don't know lol.
