The land of TN where you can do whatever the f#ck you want. Thank god for the ability to work remotely. I grew up well north of here and have traveled the West extensively. I'm not leaving the south.

I've owned a number of BMWs over the years, all had stock exhaust systems, and it's hard to sympathize with folks who choose to pollute the environment for some reason. Seems to me if you're gonna do the crime, just pay the fine, and don't whine about it.
Just curious . . . how's the black market for stock exhausts looking so far?

This isn't a new law; the only new part about it is the ticket is now an automatic $1k fine, as opposed to the fix-it ticket it was before. I've had discussions with other car enthusiasts and it does seem like the cops are ticketing the people who have obnoxiously loud exhausts. The common take is 'if you didn't get pulled over before, you probably won't get pulled over now.'

Of course, only time will tell.
