No, PSSx kits use the B16 damper.

Curious because all the information I can find on the manufacturers and sellers site say it is the B8 damper, even for the E46 M3. No where that I can find other than here says it is B6. I'm not saying anyone is lying, but y'all haven't provided proof to me, and am I supposed to just trust strangers on the internet? If they are not what they said they are, I can always send them back for a refund.

It's confusing when all the info I find says one thing, and forum posters all say another.

Suit yourself mate.

You will find out when your delivery is delivered!

Anyways - back to the fulcrum of this thread.

I welcome more forum members to share their experiences with both B12 and brand new OEM Sachs suspension.

Yep, I get all of that.

Where are you seeing "B8" for this kit? (I haven't looked)

Look at the part numbers on the shocks in the picture. You can see 35-142102, 35-142119 and 24-113998 -- they all correspond to B6 part numbers.

Well, you have a point. Theyre wensite says b8.
This is directly from them under 2002 BMW M3.

"The BILSTEIN B12 Pro-Kit allows vehicles to be lowered up to 40mm. The kit has the perfect combination of sporty dynamics, aesthetics, and load bearing capacity. This BILSTEIN B12 kits consist of BILSTEIN B8 high-performance shock absorbers that are perfectly matched with EIBACH springs for an optimal ride."

I bet its just an oversite sonce you cannot buy b8 shocks for this platform but you can for pretty mich every other car out there.

Edit: actually it has that description on the front page woth no car selected. So yeah, probably an oversight on their part.

B8 are just shortened B6's, which have never been offered for e46 - likely since there are PSS9/10 applications available.

Also shortened, zinc coated, and digressive valving

Guys this thread is about peopleís experiences comparing both the B12 Kit and new OEM suspension.

Itís not about an already established fact of what the B12 Kit consists of.

I would be grateful if the thread could remain focused and whether the moderators could clean it up.

Thanks.
