Default Outstanding money from Status Gruppe, advice

Hey guys,
I'm not quite sure where to ask for help, hopefully someone will give me helpful advice on this.
on 12-05-2018 (12th May 2018) I placed order on Status Gruppe website (exhaus mid pipe, backbox, carbon boot lid, front carbon lip and carbon rear difuser).
and sent 3247$ over to United States.
Since then everything seemed so slow shippingwise, I kept sending tons of emails whether my parts had been sent wit answers like :

''Boxing today we were waiting on the tips I’m sorry''
''Not yet I’m sorry I’m waiting on a box big enough to fit it all inside. I will have in a day or so''
''Everything is getting boxed right now and will ship tomorrow or Friday''


After couple of months they got the package to the shipper ''pilotdelivers.com''
but there were always some kind of problems, I had to speak with guy from this company to hear how the situation is, they were waiting for SG to give them some kind of payment.
Email from Status Gruppe like:

''They never delivered to you?! They picked up from me sooo long ago. Let me call them and see what happened. This is the shipping company not me. Please let me call them and fix this.''
''I will have my accountant call them immediately. They have a CC on file and should have charged forever ago''



So I was like some kind of mediator between these two companies trying to sort this thing out.
On 09-11-2018 (9th November 2018) my patience was over and sent an email to Status Gruppe that I'm cancelling my order, wrote an email to shipping company to send package back.

After this it seemed like everything is going to get sorted smoothly, refunded.
But again emails like these kept coming:

''Yes sir we did get it back the other day. I will open it this weekend to ensure nothing was damaged and we will process the refund''
''I will open the box this week and let you know ASAP. I’m sorry we have been moving and that had slowed it all down''
(This was the last email on 11-12-2018 (11th December 2018))



It's been 8 months since I thrown away 3247$, I'm looking for any advice how to get my money back, I know that I sent it over to different continent (since I'm based in Czech Republic) so it might be pain in the ass, but still I'd love to get my money back and must say I'm so dissapointed that things like this are still happening.

Call him directly and demand for the refund. He likes to hide behind a screen to avoid confrontation.

I will try to call him, althought last time I tried to call him he didn't even answer the phone. But you see I can't just rely on his word, I will try it tho ....

Hate to say it, but this is nothing new with Status Gruppe. It's shocking to me that anyone gives them their money despite negative review after negative review...after negative review. It's always the same story. You pay for the products and they seem to never ship. Months go by. You get the same excuses over, and over, and over.....and over again. It's never "their fault". You will get lie after lie telling you that your products are shipping but it never happens when they say it will. Finally, when you ask for a refund ...and DEMAND it, they tell you the item is ready to ship (many months later). Getting a refund from them is just as painful and long of a process. Sorry this has been your experience with them. I'd imagine being that you are out of the USA you are even more in a difficult position and their preditory pratices even greater on you as a customer. If you paid via CC, then I'd recommend contacting your CC company, explain the situation and ask for a charge back.

Wish I could be of more help. It shocks me that this company is still allowed on this forum. Nearly every post about them from those that do business with them has the same timeline and same story specifics. Unfortunately, this is nothing unique.

I wish you best of luck and hope others have a better idea on how best to help you. On a positive note, if you get refunded, you will both get your money back and not be stuck with very cheap and poorly made products.

Total crap. For the cost you paid for their "carbon" bootlid, you could have gotten a genuine OE CSL bootlid and avoided the headache. Unfortunately, if you DO receive what you paid for, expect a wealth of installation headaches.

Sorry to hear, I’m not surprised. False updates and timeframes is what I had to go through with Mike and that shady company (false updates and timeframes = intentional lies to shut you up). He’ll then ignore your emails once he sense your frustration from his lies. Surprised people still buy from him after all the recent and not so recent negative reviews.

You can call him, that way he won’t know it’s you and think you’re a new potential customer he can lure in. He’ll ignore your emails from now on, he’s only available if the topic is convinient for him. Good luck

Just do a creditcard charge back? No biggie, especially if you used AMEX or any other large card. Sometimes they'll want some emails to prove you tried to sort it out first but usually it's a quick process.

8 Months might be pushing it though can't advise on that.

dispute it with your credit card if you can...

this is nothing new with SGT..... they always operate like this. they take your money and wait on your merchandise to be made, boxed and shipped. meanwhile they will provide you with a ton of excuses as to why the item that was supposed to ship in 2 weeks hasnt shipped 4 months later. the excuses you get are laughable BS too, things like "we couldn't find a box big enough" just like you said.

SGT should be dropped as a forum sponsor.
