Does this shifter work well with stock motor and tranny mounts?

Is this a better alternative that a full OEM manual swap? Seems like it might be cheaper overall but the shifter has a high cost.

What's up Mark?! Been a while, I met you back when we both had evos in 2010 or so.

You want to get solid mounts with this shifter if you track, right handers will cause you to miss-shift and then destroy your valve train as OEM mounts flex.

I share others issue about going too far left on a 3-2 downshift and having the shifter stick or jam, especially on hectic spirited drives on the track. Ive tried to learn to move the shifter down more than left but its hard when you're in the moment. Ive been eyeing a CAE/RTD style shifter since I bought my car, it came with the AS short shifter and ive used different knobs ranging from MS, BW Jaffster, weighted screw ons with thread adapter, and now currently OEM tall ZHP, but the AS SSK is just too notchy in my opinion even with the tranny warmed up with fairly fresh Redline MTL.

wow, you have a great memory. it's definitely been a long time since my evo days.

Thanks for the info. I currently have the AutoSolutions short shift kit in my car. Just wondering if the RTD would be a worthwhile upgrade.

Anyone get one of these in their hands yet? I'm tired of watching the RTD vid and curious to see other's opinions.

somebody put a review up!

Put my BF order in today so it's likely I won't see this until close to xmas, possibly even after new year's.

I'm still waiting for a non-lockout I ordered almost 5 weeks ago, so not likely any of these are out in the wild yet. I'd say February is more likely since mine is due around Xmas.

Shipping takes that long? Geez I figured $66 for shipping it better be expedited.
