Default RTD Reverse Lockout Shifter. No trimming interior.

Thought id share a new product that RTD is releasing. No trimming of center console is needed. No drilling new holes in trans tunnel.

This must be a new model. When I ordered several months ago, they weren't making lockout shifters anymore.

They stopped making the old version cause they was designing this up. The goal was to have it work without needing to cut into the interior.

Is the point of this so you don't shift into reverse when you really want to put it in first?

Sweet. Now I think they should have a black Friday early adopter sale.

That, but more importantly it lets you push hard to the left with the shifter on a 3->2 downshift and not go past the 2 gate. When you have a lot of leverage from a longer shifter, it's pretty easy to overpower the spring in the bellhousing which keeps you from accidentally traveling too far laterally and passing right over 2nd.

That's a more compelling reason. Can this be retrofitted to non-lockout RTD shifters?

I would be curious about this as well. The improvement I would like to see on this shifter is one that already exists in a few other floor mounted shifters like CAE.

I would definitely like to see some way of adjusting shift points in more than just 3 to 4. Namely, 1 to 2!!!

If this is true, then my earlier statement is null and void as this appears to effectively provide a stop for 3 to 2 shifting!

Definitely curious if this can be purchased and added to existing RTD shifter. I'M IN!!
