True enough, that is the case, but i have had it out for over a month already. I think the warming weather helps the shifting and the cooler weather helps with wagging the tail, both fun. It's a very nice built car. It's a vert and when I first take it out in spring the creaking from the top almost makes me want to cry, then on goes the radio and poof, everything is fine. Now with the warm weather the top is always down and the few days with it up I seem to enjoy the engine sound more as the wind isn't masking it and I can ignore the top creaking.

Yeah, at first i was worried, door lock relay (15$ fix), vanos solenoid joints failed (beisan), vanos oil tab cracked off (tt hub plus besian seals all around with larger washer springs, plus upper timing chain guide in two pieces, plus cam bolts on intake and exhaust), then came lead numbers in oil 26ppm, bearing job, what a pita. The vanos and rod bearings were 20K km ago, so yeah there was a time where I was wondering. But the drive is superb and none of this really impacts that except for the fcabs and rcab replacements early on which to me is nothing at all. Anyhow, new rotors and pads two weeks ago, old pad wear was as symetric and perfect as can be, getting new tires this week as well, can't wait.

Absolutely not. Every modification/upgrade/repair/refresh I've done makes me love and enjoy the car more and more. I love how mine is set up currently and looking forward to the next change which will allow me to enjoy it even more.

ohh, yeah, forgot to add structural foam on both rear mounts. That's about it haaha

cripes I better stop thinking about it, fuel pump, water pump, (both preventative), much like the foam. but still drives great... Over and Out.

Just got done with a Track weekend and I think I fell in love with the car all over again. It did exactly what it was designed to do. With the exception of swapping in track pads and annual brake fluid flush with SRF, I showed up to the track as is, did two days of track driving (pushing it fairly hard), and made a 3 hour commute home and the car drove exactly the same as it did on the way down (and i'm very particular about how the car drives).

Even though I have a daily, I have been driving it to work every day since then because the luster hasn't worn off.

E46 M3... the hype is real.

YES!!! just hearing the airbox sing makes it hard not put pedal through the floorboards
