I think someone on here has a borla resonator welded in, but if you don't want rasp I would definitely get an ar20 or something of the like, it's rasp city with headers.

I am running just the Magnaflow section 3. I had to add an AR20 to my section 1 to kill some of the rasp.

When I ran my Magnaflow on the e46 + headers, it sounded awful at WOT, wayyyy too much rasp. I highly recommend some sort of resonator

Heh, I thought it sounded awful except at WOT. Under lighter throttle and lower RPM, there was an odd mix of rasp and attempted low-ness that sounded like a fart can. Up top and WOT it sounded natural and normal.

I'd be interested in seeing how it'd sound if you replaced the "resonator" in section 1 (which is just a big hollow echo chamber) with two real resonators...

IMO it sounded good under very light throttle, and then at WOT in the high end I thought it sounded awesome. I have a video of my car with Magnaflow cat back and euro headers, it's only from inside the car though.

Sounded great all the time before headers though!!!

It sounded great from inside the car.
But once I had someone else drive it and heard it from the outside, it was atrocious.

im def going to take a before video- one with just headers installed and one with ar20 installed so we all know....
i dont think there is much rasp with just the magnaflow but i know removing the cats will change that.

I think there is a clear difference between the OLD Magnaflow section 3 only replacement, and the NEW, full cat back system.

I have the full catback with headers and I like the way it sounds and I get a lot of compliments.
