These are not necessary. If you route the hose right there will be no need to ever remove the hoses.

Whats the tried and true route? Any link for that? I have no problems cutting/modifying things providing I can make it look neat / semi-original.

Not yet. This is one of many front end projects for this winter, and I can't proceed with it till my new wheel bearings arrive.

Last weekend I did swap the springs, swap the steering rack, install the Hard backing plates (which are pretty shit quality/fitment, imo), and some other little things

Yeah, I had to spend nearly an entire day cutting and grinding the Hard backing plates for my E39 M5 to get them to fit. They were not even close.

Hmm I remember the quality being good but I do remember having some small fitment issues... didn't have to mod anything like some people think they have to but I think the top bolt mounting arrangement took a bit of finese... it's the kinda think I would have just fabbed myself if I had access to a workshop but seemed easy enough to buy haha.
