Yeah, as much as I love the car, I've been thinking about getting something a bit more practical (4-dr) and more of a straight-line cruiser. Perhaps an older AMG model with (dare I say it) an automatic transmission. DOH! Yes, I might just go to the dark side, lol. We'll see...

Nice! Will be 3 years for me but with 7-8 years of E36 ownership.

Nothing drives like this car!

Nah, something more along the lines of a W202 C36/43.

Those cars are cool but IMO that's a downgrade from your original owner, 100% fully known history E36 M3. AMGs of that vintage are not gonna be any less problematic, or more comfortable, just I dunno... Different. That being said I too would like to own a C36 or C43 someday when there's room. But I would definitely NOT get rid of the E36 to make room. Especially if I were the original owner of said E36.

I agree with Nate. This doesn't happen very often. I'm usually the 2nd or 3rd owner of my cars but I'd love one where I've owned since new (next gen G80 M3 maybe?).

Unless you need the space, I'd keep it. I'm on the same boat. I drive my X2 most of the time, but being able to take out the M's on a nice day is priceless and brings me so much joy. I think I probably drove my E36 800 miles this year (had it on jack stands for a big chunk of it)
