Default used s52 exhaust manifolds

all, the s50 will get some work done and I was debating whether I should replace the stock cast iron ones with the s52 ones. The s52 ones are welded steel and as I searched the forums, there have been cases where they cracked on older mileage cars. Anyone experience these issues? worth it to get a new one instead?

Shortly after replacing my dual mass FW with a single mass FW one of the head pipe flanges fracture off completely. Now running Jet Hot E36 Headers.
The 1996+ M/S52 OBDII I6 tubular head pipes due flow better than the cast ‘logs’ of the Pre-1996 M/S50 OBDI I6. These are an inexpensive upgrade for OBDI engines.
My wife’s auto M3 ans son’s 328 are doing fine, though I do not trac them.

If you still plan on keeping your cats, I'd get the Turner shortys.

They are a pain in the ass to install from those that have installed them.
