Default Re: OEM zcp or BBS CHs?

CH. I get more compliments on them than any other car/wheel combo I’ve ever had. Fwiw they weigh about the same as OEM 19’s (style 67). I’ve had all the OEM flavors and wouldn’t go back, especially on jet black for purely aesthetics on a street car.

ZCP are a little lighter, but if that’s your priority then ARC8 (or higher quality wheel as Obioban would suggest) would be a better choice as going from a heavy 19” to a not-as-heavy 19” is a nominal difference. They also are narrower and “require” spacers to look right. Classic look for sure but the CH make the car stand out more compared to a bone stock one or something with the various replicas...

For 19s, a clean set of OEM ZCP/CSLs look pretty close to perfect. Having said that, though... Very common. If you're looking to go the aftermarket route, either BBS CH's or LM's are going to be hard to beat. IMHO those two are a couple of the best looking wheels on the market. Such a clean and classic design that works so damn well on the E46.

I'm not a huge fan of style 67's. I'd definitely recommend Volk TE's or Apex ARC8's if you're considering going with 18s. Personally I think these two are your best options in terms of looks and performance.

Go for CSLs, a little extra $ over ZCPs for better front offsets/widths!

Can't go wrong either way though, both great choices.

I wouldnít say common, every m3 I see in person have oem 19ís or 18ís. Those that do have the csl/zcp are replicas and look like crap.

Zcp is common here in the forums just like teís are...but rarely seen in person. Iíd argue I see more CHís on Volkswagen, standard 3series, and audis in the street.

CHs look pretty kickass on the e46, imo-- I prefer their look to ZHPs

They're just also boat anchors.

Couldnít agree more with this. I almost pulled the trigger on a set of CHs years ago before I discovered the RAC RG63s.

I see where you're coming from but I still think they're common. Yes, if you're simply comparing a stock wheel that was in production for only a couple of years vs the other options that were available throughout the whole life cycle of the E46, then no they're not as common.

However, I'm looking at it in terms of popularity within our enthusiast community, whether on the forum or off. So IMO I think ZCP/CSL wheels, whether OEM or aftermarket, definitely take the cake in that regard.
