I think the strut nut covers were a later model feature.

iirc it was the early cars that got the 3 pronged strut covers that also covered the nuts. They came on cars without the strut bar

The later ones with the strut bars didnt have the m3 cap with seperate nut covers:

The one on BaT is missing the nut covers.

Please correct me if I'm wrong

As an owner of a JB on Cinnamon, I concur. It is a beauty.

Anyone know why EAG only wants 2004-2006?The manual part I get. Why just the last two years?

From the comments section on BAT:

EAGBMW 614
Bump for a good seller – we’ve spoken to them on several occasions and this M3 was offered to us in the past year. It sure looks like a nice one and should be bought with confidence.

EAG will sit this one out, we prefer the 2004-2006 6-speeds exclusively.

Best of luck to both buyer and seller!

Because that’s when they “fixed” the rod bearing issues. 2003.5+.

A lot of changes happened post 2003 on the cars, "post face lift".

That's the last 3 years

There was a TON of stuff that changed (improved) over the production run of the car, but most of it was done by 2004.

Why would they be missing if it was only driven for 2k miles?
Seems weird to me.
Or they've done some mechanical work on this car's engine?
