Worst transmission I have ever had the privilege to remove. Itís so tight under there.

It helps a a lot if you lower the front subframe and THEN tilt the engine back. I just loosen the 4 bolts.

I really hate trying to get the tranny back in.

I bought the DKM kit from ECS. I did an open box review of it that will be posted on YouTube shortly. High quality kit in appearance. It comes with a SACHS throw out bearing. BMW uses them as an OE supplier for those who donít know. I actually had purchased an BMW bearing and sent it back. They were identical. All the numbers matches and you can see where they dremeled off the BMW markings.

Thought about buying that one but it being a new company scares me a bit. I have heard from another reputable source that the quality looked excellent however.

They take pride in them. The packaging is stellar. I just hope the performance and longevity are too.

Default Clutch and Flywheel Recommendations

Since my engine decided to level out completely without the weight of the trans on it, I ordered this. I can now determine how much the engine can and will tilt back when I re-install. On the plus side it will hold it in place the entire time. Itíll also come in handy for rod bearings down the road.

Got one of those too. Very useful for anything clutch related, oil pan, rod bearings.
