The parts in the spreadsheet I attached? Hopefully there arent too many things missing.

I guess Ill find out once my shifter gets here. Im not starting until it arrives (sometime in Jan). This way, I can do everything at once and not have too long of a break between work sessions on the car.

slightly related question pertaining to 6MT swaps:

the instrument clusters in SMG and 6MT cars differ slightly in that the SMG ones have the little panel displaying the transmission info, right? on a 6MT cluster, I'm guessing that panel is still there but just dark/has no backlights/functionality? (I'd check my own 6MT car but I parked it in vegas to fly home to Canada for the holidays)

Then that would mean, for the ***ultra picky***, I guess one might want to swap an smg cluster out with a 6MT one.. would this be difficult/expensive? I've done a cluster swap on a TT and it wasn't bad, but, diff car...

not that I'm saying I would care enough go through this trouble for basically no difference if/when I do a swap (planning on doing one this year if I buy a low mile SMG I found), but just kind of curious !

As far as I know, correct. The screen is still there but nothing will be lit up in that area as its coded out.

It's still there but the lights are gone.

I am going to hunt for a cheap cluster from a manual so I can swap out the face plate

The other very slight difference is the warmup LEDs are a different. On the manual they're all orange. On the SMG, the first one is red and the rest are yellow.

Cluster is easy to physically replace, slightly more involved if you want the mileage to match.

i never knew that. I was trying to figure out why my buddy with a 2002 6MT had all orange warm up lights but my cluster did not. and mine is an SMG cluster originally.

if i hadnt already modded it for 4 door LEDs and corrected the mileage, i would swap to 6MT cluster instead.

Received my RTD shifter yesterday, and am glad I decided to spend a few more bucks on the swappable shifter height.

In the event I want to change things up, I can go from the mini to the race height, within minutes.

Ill be tearing into the car this weekend, so Now begins my sanity check on the info on this board.

Ill spend the next few days re-reading the DIY and addendum threads to prepare. Im really looking forward to this!
