Thx guys that's really the highest praise I could've asked for hehehe. I will talk to the shop and see if we can make a couple of copies but I can't promise anything it was a completely custom piece and took about 6 hours to create. A local friend wants one made too , so we'll see how it goes. I can also provide precise measurements if you guys want to recreate it as well.

Hey Hassan, out of curiosity...did you think to weigh up your new muffler? I would be curious to see the weight, compared to, say the SS Race muffler system.

Hey Stan,
Well I didn't have a scale handy, but I did ball park it in my hands and it felt like 25 something pounds...The stainless steel mufflers don't weight much at all, and running a single 2.5" out of each muffler would save some weight over dual 1.75 or 2.0.. but my canisters are a bit taller. So I guess it balances out.. But don't take my word for it just yet,I'll be weighing it when installing the upgraded sec1_2 pipes next week.
A brief update;
Wanted to schedule a dyno run today but could't get any dyno time. Shop was booked tuning a built evo10. Anyway, maybe the coming couple of days. Meanwhile the car feels much happier up top. I feel a definate switch north of 4k rpm, pulls the same down low with no rasp, but goes into crazy mode after 4k..but my butt dyno has been wrong before.. we'll see
Regarding replicating this setup. I talked to my raceshop and they are willing to replicate this using a friend's car as a template. So if you guys are serious I'll see what can be done but I can't commit just yet
I can't use my car as a template since my section 2 isn't stock at the rear flanges of sec2, I had to modify it to fit the 2.5s onto them so it's now V banded and not flanged. I rather make a plug and play kit if I were to do this. Also I didnt mind cutting my section two flanges off since I'm replacing it anyway with a single 3.5 into a Y into this system which would be V banded as well

I think you'll notice more once you do a proper dual 2.5" section 1 and single 3.5" section two, can't imagine its much with just that rear section. Your section 1 and 2 are still inhibiting. It's a start though!

The single 3.5" section 2 will definitely change the tone however.

I totally agree. I just want to isolate what each change did to the power band Also my theory is my old section 3 was particularly bad.. so any gain over that confirms it. But you're right a full setup is the way to go.

Btw, I forgot, do you have dual resonators in your section 1?
I'm very happy with the volume right now and I figure a 3.5 inch res would be too big to fit under the car?

Edit: I just reread the PM and you do have dual resonators that's the only way to go.. AR25s? Or the SS factory ones?

Wow that already sounds great as is. Great job!

Definitely interested in stuff like this!

I've been wanting to have a true dual pipe setup and test out a mac pro chamber in place of my x-pipe.
As well as a new muffler.

Yep, 2.5" dual resonators on the V1 S-Pipe, think they are Vibrant bottle-style. I just chopped off the back half and re-welded the SS flanges onto the resonators so it could mount to the BW 3.5" in stock location.

3.5" single section 2 will change the tone over dual piping even without a resonator (which won't fit).

Gotcha brother-no worries! I hear & read where people say that the muffler doesn't add or subtract power, and that it's only for tone-lol. Mufflers absolutely can have an impact on power...glad your fabbed up up one feels better, and I'm sure the dyno will verify. Also, awaiting anxiously our results moving forward w/the sekshun I, II changes!

Man, this sounds so good. I am trying to find the perfect exhaust for my cammed CSL box'd setup. Right now I am running SS stepped headers to SS catless section 1, SS x-pipe, to stock muffler.
