So as it appears my friend has done on a couple of e46 and today I spoke with the owner of the one from the pictures and he said its running without problems and he has been on the Nurburgring and done several track days and the car stops like crazy with no unnecessary abs intervention and a great brake pedal feedback.

The front callipers go on pretty straightforward with just a simple adapter has to be machined.

The rear are a bit tricky as you have to modify the rear calliper slightley on the machine in order to have perfect aligment of the pads to the discs.

Here are photos from 2 sets being made to fir the E46 M3.

Photos are from my local company Milletech that build awsome exhaust systems for some top cars.

I would also like to hear the legitimate numbers...but from an aesthetic point of view...looks awesome.

The F8x non-CCB calipers use 40mm pistons. This gives a piston area calculation of 2513.28mm^3 versus 2827.43mm^3 for our stock caliper.

(Obviously aware that there is more to brake bias than piston area alone, but just giving a start).

Are we assuming F8x rotors will be used for the swap?

Looks pretty good. I would also be curious to know how what the brake bias is with these?

Nice milling job on the brackets. The only thing I don't necessarily like, is that the front caliper had to be re positioned upwards. I totally understand why that was necessary, as I have done the exact same thing on other BBK conversions on the rear brackets. I don't think it would be a deal breaker if everything else was good, but ascetically I don't love that part of it.

I don't see anyone getting "reamed" here. So far seems to be a fairly civilized and honest discussion. I think good feedback comes in many forms, but nobody has made any attack on the op.

how much did the brackets and milling cost you , and do you have measurements of how much you have to shave off the calipers?

The brakes are mounted on the car I have done around 1000km with them, bedded them in and it is and immeadiete improvment, done some hard stops still with OEM M4 pads and just love how it brakes, the pedal feel has improved overall.

Love thats its all OEM+ which means I can get my discs in 2 days in any dealer for a known price. No mpre searching shipping waiting etc...

I can get the measurements for you if you wish.

On the front at forst it seems no modification whatsoever is needed but when trying to tighten it it is slightley off, so your choice is either scrub the hub or the calliper just a bit, which I did and also fitted some forge stainless steel brake lines for M4.
