Unhappy Beyond hard to write, but please read

We're attending a funeral tomorrow for our friend's two-year old girl that died Wednesday as a result of a peanut allergy, and an incompetent day care staff. They fed her a peanut butter sandwich, and when she had an allergic reaction they used (at least) THREE Epi-pens trying to revive her, which is most likely what killed her. Her parents are beyond crushed, as are the rest of us that knew her.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE DANGER POSED BY ALLERGIES, AND TAKE STEPS TO EDUCATE YOURSELF AND THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR LOVED ONES CARE AS TO PROPER USE OF AN EPI-PEN!!!!!!!! IT IS VERY SIMPLE, AND COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE, OR THE LIFE OF SOMEONE ELSE.

Sorry guys, but I'm having trouble finding anything positive to say at the moment. The last couple of days have been filled with a mixture of shock and denial. It really just set in hard on me this morning, and I keep flip-flopping between grief and an absolute rage that she's gone simply due to ignorance.

Please tell those close to you how much you love them daily, as anyone can just be gone in an instant.

Rest In Peace, Faith Tolbert, 2010-2013.

Downright awful and I'm very sorry to hear Smig. I couldn't imagine something like that having happened to my son.

Wish them all the best in trying to overcome.

Damn. That is heartbreaking. Sorry to hear for you and your friend's family's loss.

May she rest in peace.

Wow. Totally f'ed up.

It is not on their radar now I'm sure, but the parents need to sue the complete f-ck out of the day care. Put them out of business permanently. Hell, maybe even criminal charges for manslaughter.

Wow, can't even comprehend that. My thoughts are with the family. Man, I hate hearing stuff like this. So sad.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I really can't imagine the pain and grief. The child was beautiful.
