Default URGENT: Problem with EAS Streamline Elbow install...

Has anyone installed the Streamline Elbow? I got one form EAS and its becoming a pain in the ass! I cant get the stock clamps to fit back over it once I FINALLY get it on...

Question, do you dump the stock inner rubber seal rings from the stock elbow when installing this or do you use them and try to get this damn thing to fit?

Its very tough to get it onto the airfilter box and impossible after it does finally get on to make the stock clamp fit onto it...

I am using the stock rubber ring seal on both the airbox and the filter box, and I am certain that I cant keep the stock clamp if I do this...

Has anyone else run into this issue and if so what have you done to solve it?

This is the elbow I am talking about...

I too learned through trial and error that the stock clamp (larger of the two) will not work with the elbow. Went to Lowes and purchased a stainless steel clamp for a dryer vent. Worked fine and decent quality.

I just put mine in a few weeks ago. I took those rubber O-rings off (given that the easily pliable intake tube will flex better when clamped down) and I bought 2 screw down clamps from NAPA Auto Parts. Simply take the intake tube with you for best measurement, test fit the clamp in the store for less headaches with return or other trial and error.

Good Luck!

Picked up 2 new stainless steel clamps from Home Depot and installed the elbow no problems...

To begin with - this is a Streamline product, not our own. No instructions or clamps are included when we receive them. To be honest, we've never had anyone bring up an issue until now. I'll look into getting some replacement clamps to include with the kits - we'll likely be eating the cost since they are not provided with the elbows.

I'll include a notice starting Monday on future kits but wish you had given us a chance to rectify things before blasting out on a forum.
