I don't have a CSL airbox flap and don't really care about having cred for getting a "CSL" tune. Just looking for the best option to have the most efficient and reliable power, street driving, few track time. Drivetrain mods are only Karbonius airbox, midepipe, SS muffler; keeping it NA.

Find a local tuner with a dyno.

Thought it’d be self evident that you want to close the fueling loop with an air pressure sensor to achieve all of that

edit: sorry, no need for the attitude lol. If you want the most reliable setup then you want a pressure sensor, and the CSL base tune is the starting point for that. Alpha-n supposedly works great for some people but I wouldn’t want to drive through different altitudes with an open loop controller

RK is expensive.. When I contacted him, he told me 700 +200 for dyno time... All I have is header and full exhaust.. I think $900 is a little ridiculous. I'll be driving 4 hours back to TTFS for a retune lol

The stock cars have open loop under certain situations and I've never had a CEL for 3 E46 M3s across 5 years.

Presently quoted: $900 Tune + $200 Dyno (IAT included w/ or w/o dyno)

A tuner can add the smog computer routine to the CSL software. I run a MAP/CSL tune and can take it in for state inspection/emissions just as if I had the stock US software.

Itís an option you have to communicate with RK and tell him you donít want burble and he wonít apply it to your tune.
