Default Car going through batteries fast?

I replaced my old alternator with a new valeo one. Roughly 600miles later all my lights turn in and my car dies. Battery is new as well. Anything else I should be checking out
**edit** also I believe I heard a pop behind the rear seat on the driver side, after I turned the car off. But I'm not aware of anything there on a coupe model.
Also scanned the car for codes, only have a ews voltage code (always had it), climate control, and a zke or w.e

What's normally located in the trunk driver's side? Time to investigate and see what might've contributed to cause the lights to come on...

Update: had the battery tested and it was bad. The bad alternator contributed to my battery failing. Battery was only 4 months old, so it was covered under warranty. Had the people do a full check, and they said the new alternator was only producing 12 volts when it says it's required to produce 14? I'm going back tomorrow to to see if the battery drained any after putting some miles on it.

Another update. My new battery from yesterday died. Had it replaced and had everything checked out. Alternator passed testing. Any other reason why I could have gone through a battery less then 24 hours? Only extra electrical I'm running is angle eyes.
Alternator is new and in good shape. Starter is new and passed the test.
Any other things that could be draining the battery, could I have just recieved a bad battery yesterday?

Did you go looking where you heard the pop - as Pnick recommended?

You have a current draw somewhere.

Are you sure the interior lights are timing off as they should after leaving the car (like 30 seconds or so)? If they're not, you're obviously not noticing them still on when getting back into the car.

I am assuming you have a stock M3? I had similar issue but I have alot of power hungry accessories and pulling about 140amp at idle. Blew 2 alternators and didn't know why and my voltage is about 11.8volts. I am waiting on my 390amp alternator to come in and give that a spin to see what happen next.

Who checked and passed the alternator? Proof?

With a voltmeter check the battery posts for what voltage while engine idling. (Directly at batt posts and not cables or connectors or dash board display.)

Your previous post stated 12V alternator output which was too low for charging batt.

AutoZone scanned it with their tester. Yesterday the alternator read 12v, today it read 14.1v so I'm not sure what's going on with it. Everything electrical that deals with the engine to run has been replaced in the past month. (Alternator, starter, fuel pump, relays and fuses) I plan on bringing it back Sunday if the battery lasts to see if everything is good, I could of just recieved a bad battery yesterday. Tomorrow I'm going to tear apart the driver side trunk, anything I should look for while I'm doing so?

It's not stock. Turner power pulleys, b-spec tune, some other mods. Why such a high power alternator when the car only calls for 120amps? What brands did you use?
