Default Ecs vs bimmerworld vanos line?

Anyone know the difference between them? The ecs one looks like it fits snug next to the engine, compared to the bimmerworld which has some space from the engine which might help with heat issues. Anybody know the stats to compare both. Pretty curious because I'm looking to update my vanos line during the next oil change.

Can't really tell you whcih is better. I've been running the BW for a few years now with no issues after my factory one sploded. A lot of people will probably tell you to just get the updated OEM hard line. I don't really care for the hard line when it comes to working on my motor a lot but that may be a non issue for you.

The thing that prevented me from going with the Bimmerworld or ECS line was that it was considered an "annual maintenance item" in the description. Whether that's the case or it was just a misunderstanding of the wording, I wouldn't buy anything that needs to be replaced on a maintenance schedule if the updated OE line acts as a one-time fix. If ECS and/or Bimmerworld could confirm that it doesn't need to be replaced every year, I'll return my updated OE hardline and get a braided line.

I run the BW line and keep a spare with me @ the track, I really cant see how that would be an annual maintenance item.

Sounds like disclaimer wording to avoid warranty issues-lol. I’ve had the Rogue one for around 4yrs. as well...no issues either.

Soft lines aren't lifetime.

From what I was tracking. A these braided lines are a better solution, not a annual replacement. Also that the hardline can't handle the amount of psi the braided SS line can handle. As well the flex in the line won't crack after multiple heat cycles unlike the oem hardline which is prone to cracking after awhile. Don't track guys replace the hardline once a year because of that? Anyways I was always under the impression that replacing it was going to be a one time thing compared to oem.

You are over thinking it. Buy either and don't worry about it.

I'm not overthinking it at all. I'm just curious what people's opinions are between both, or what other better options are out there other then the oem hardline.
