...563 is as listed on your linked page:

"For vehicles with
All leather equipment Walknappa".

This is for the extended leather interior option, not offerend in the US market.

There was a limited edition M3 convertible xxx edition with the extended leather option however.

Do all e36 cars come with white white bright interior lights? I have a remote door lock/unlock and the lights come on inside like the collision lights on a 747. Is that normal?

The lights coming on, yes. Lights being bright, no. Probably "upgraded" LEDs.

Contrarian view here. I installed an armrest on my 97 and I love it. I guess the way I sit, I don't notice shifter interference.

OP, if you do look for an armrest, beware of sellers who spray-paint other color consoles black (assuming that's the color you're looking for) and some sellers don't know there are differences between vert and coupe/sedan consoles, so they list the vert part as fitting coupes and sedans (the rear of the base angles upward for vert armrest consoles).

If your tiny and seat can’t be adjusted accordingly, the arm rest will not be for you.

For me personally, the armrest is a must-have item.

Does anyone if the e36 chassis Coupe/Sedan uses the roof as part of the chassis rigidity?

Couldn't find any documentation on it.

Kabonius is interested in making a CF (Similar to CSL) roof for US (giving is not structural) if there are enough interests.

ebay sells a white LED upgrade kit that replaces every filament-style bulb in the car and some outside. The kit is by Newegg and seller OutletPC. Among the bulbs are 6 bayonet-style bulbs in the kit #HC-BA9S-5-5050SMD-White. The polarity on these 6 bayonet bulbs are all backwards.
As these are bayonet style bulbs, it is not possible to turn them around to accept different polarity. You could re-wire the bulb housing but I do not want to hack up my car's lighting system just for an LED.

In addition, if the rear license plate bulbs are swapped for LED, a warning message will appear on the multi-function computer display for a bulb that's out. Apparently, the car will send a weak pulse through the lighting system to test for continuity back and throws an error when it cannot pass current through the LED bulb the same way as a filament. I stopped there and did not swap other bulbs. There is probably a more expensive add-on component that will mimic the filament bulb being installed but I decided mot to continue.

The difference in the light output for the other interior bulbs is significant and yes, super white. I'm getting old, so I'm OK with it but I kept the old bulbs in case someone wanted to put it all back one day.

I posted this for all silly questions not just the armrest. But thank you for the input.

An armrest, or cup holders for that matter, have no place in a sports car. If your arm is on the rest it's not on the steering wheel or shift knob where it should be.

AND, they slam down under hard braking on the track making them a menace when you need to change gears quickly.

RID yourselves of them, they demonstrate a lack of ///M.

This would only be applicable to the sedan as it's the only chassis that supports roof skin replacement. The Coupe uses a once piece cap that is cut at the pillars.

On the E46 CSL, the rigidity comes from the necessary weld in cross brace. This is called the roof bow in the diagrams for E36 and E46. This roof bow isn't present on sunroof cars and is used on slicktops regardless if carbon or steel (E46 this I know to be true, and I'm assuming the E36 is the same).

E36 Sedan

The sedan diagram is accurate to the parts you would be sold... meaning the roof panel is just a skin. The coupe uses the same diagram but is not accurate to actuality as I already explained earlier.
