Worst mod: Z3M shift lever. Way too notchy and made shifting no fun.

Bear SSK still available? I bought one from Calvin years ago. Is he still in business?

1. Full Ground Control street/track adjustable suspension (shocks, springs, camber plates, etc...)
2. 3.46 diff (diffsonline)
3. 17x9 Apex ARC-8 wheels all around with Hankook RS4 245/40-17's (12mm spacers in front). Grip for days...
4. Not strictly a mod, but a full suspension bushing and ball joint refresh. Bushings and mounts are poly (except RTAB) and all ball joints were replaced with OEM.
5. E46 ZHP steering rack

I have found that suspension refresh is the best mod you can do to any used M3. They almost all need it all replaced anyway and it just makes the car feel so much better. I am going through mine and replacing everything with either OEM or Dinan right now. I also just ordered a Hotchkis sway bar kit as well that will go on. All new bushings, shock pads, shocks and everything that goes along with it.

The headlights on the US M3s are also a tired and weak design. I have ZKWs with a clean high quality 4300k HID that REALLY makes the front of the car pop, all while providing incredible visibility over the standard US halogen plastic junk.

Well, considering I've spent so much money on this car... My goal has always been to create a point and shoot concept with the right amount of power and supporting mods that I have ultimate control on the highway including but not limited to speed, agility, and lightness to ensure I can place myself anywhere possible.

1) Suspension - TCKline with a low spring rate F400lb/R400lb - Huge improvement over the stock ride. I also did all of the bushings during install including new Control Arms.
2) ZHP Rack - Major improvement over 1995 rack. Steering confidence has been very much approved over the stock rack.
3) Forced Induction - Although I wouldn't go with the VF kit now if I was back in the market, it is worlds better than a stock engined car. The chassis is easily capable of 100 whp stock. With upgraded brakes and suspension, it is easily capable of 150 whp. The 350 whp to 400 whp area is very good especially due to the limited amount of rubber you can fit in a narrow body car. FYI, I make 358 whp. I am full bolt on with a full Supersprint exhaust and cams along with BBTB.
4) Rogue SSK - Huge improvement on a 90k mile M3 from 1995
5) Maintenance - I have spent an exuberant amount of money on ensuring that everything has been either replaced, restored, or plane old reinforced. I have no problems if I get a call tomorrow to drive across the country especially since it has forced induction applied to it. I trust this car more than my new E90 M3 with 38k miles.

I would never sell this car.
