Hahah yeah I hear you. Even with everything that I did, there were still little voices in the back of my head saying "just drop the subframe and do the bushings... the diff's already out! weld in plates!!!" smgdh lol

Yeah i am hoping it is worth dumping all this $ into a 150k mile car but i guess we will see.. Not to concerned about getting any kind of return out of it ever though.

EDIT: Huge shout out to all yall that made this thread possible. Honestly that wiring was easier than doing a basic head unit install with all these instructions. Might have taken me an hour if that.

There isn't another plug that directly fits the GPS, you will need to modify the connector by trimming the plastic in order to make it fit. On the SMG harness there should be two identical plugs, one goes to the reverse sensor, and the other goes to the GPS.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong about this, but I believe it is the plug that used to go to one of the sensors on the bellhousing, since you no longer need them to be plugged in.

Yes! It should be pretty clear which of the two bellhousing connectors you use for the GPS, but it will still need to be trimmed slightly to make it fit. The longer of the two goes to the reverse, and the shorter goes to the GPS. I believe that only one of them reaches the reverse sensor anyways.

Hi all, still struggling with my last piece of conversion: PDC/Mirror tilt. I can't get it working.

Car is a 2004.

All coding and programming mentioned in this thread has been completed successfully. SMG ECM has been removed. Cruise works perfectly.

I've successfully connected PIN 7 on cluster connector(X11176) to connector/bus X428 at the fuse block. I've triple checked the connections and 12v signal at cluster when in reverse.

Any thoughts or leads from the 03.5+ crew?
