Sounds like your fan clutch is bad. Ya the Tstat is easy just DIY.

If you're planning an overhaul anyways. Do it sooner than later.

Fan clutch and t-stat seem appropriate to keep you going strong.

When I got my airbag recall done the dealer quoted me something crazy like $1000 for a valve cover gasket . I already had a OEM gasket at home and changed it for maybe $70.

These cars are really a breeze to work on if you would rather.

I too stopped by for my airbag recall but they did their 120 point inspection or whatever.
