I've been looking into getting a set of ARC8's for a while now and after seeing this I've held off even further... When is something gonna happen here? Do I wait? It's been a few months guys...

I kinda don't see the point at all. The cast APEX wheels are cheap and light, which makes them both high performance and easy to replace.

Forged will add significant cost but probably not a proportionate weight loss.

If the cast inner lip cracking is rare, then what's the point of going forged at all?

Yeah, the cost vs. weight graph is not a line, it's a very steep curve.

this is the main reason i am against teaser announcements. Ultimately, the primary reason behind them is to prevent the consumer from buying a competitor's product.

there's a popular saying among photography enthusiasts (an industry where teasers and rumors of what's next around the corner are rampant). the best photos you'll take are taken by the camera that's in your hands.

My guess?

Engineering: Okay, marketing team, we're really close - let's do a teaser with the first articles.
Marketing: Good call - people hate when we release something new and they didn't know *releases teaser*
Engineering: We had some issues in production
*time passes*
Engineering: First batch came in, but there were some QC issues
*time passes*
Operations: The replacement batch should be here by now, but it looks like the shipment is being held up in customs
*time passes*
*marketing team is freaking out*
*forums are freaking out*

Jokes aside, buyers remorse does suck - I'm glad Apex took the time for a teaser rather than nothing. Personally, I understand everyone is scared of committing to a release date, but it's always nice to have updates and ETAs.
