What if the Vanos Tab is cracked, and breaks off months down the road? I don't know how you would know. Unless you test drive it, and say I like it, now if you'll just remove the valve cover

Correlation is not causation.

If I find a nail in my tire 600 miles after buying a used car it probably doesn't mean the seller conspired against me by using fix-a-flat.

so does doing the beisen kit linked earlier in here, and changing to the better stronger updated bolts, does that pretty much fix the VANOS issue?

The Beisan Systems kit will fix a failed VANOS solenoid. There is evidence that the new cam gear bolts are actually worse so only change them if they are loose.

Running the VANOS test should reveal problems with the VANOS actuator and solenoid but not with the exhaust hub nor the cam gear bolts. For those parts, you'd need to inspect them with the valve cover off.

All you people who are eating up all your disposable income coming up with the down payment and monthlies for an E46M, I recommend you sell the car because you can't afford it.

I hear Civics are pretty cheap to maintain...
