Am I missing something? What does this vandalism have to do with Islamic Law?

They make good in car cameras. Park in same spot tomorrow... they will be back. Happy hunting.

Years ago my daily was getting what looked like spit on the hood in my car park. I installed a small camera on the dash.... found it was an old pipe in the garage that would relieve sewage 1 per day above my car... just a small leak. No human foul play. I changed parking spots.

I realize my car is an easy target, so I tend to drive like a choir boy when commuting. That said, I can't control how people interpret situations, so it's definitely possible I somehow pissed off the wrong person. The shoe prints didn't appear to come from dress shoes like most professionals who park at the train station wear. I left my car at 6am and the only vehicles near mine were a couple new Mercedes. The skaters usually show up much later in the day. I've racked my brain going over drives to/from the garage and nothing stands out that should've upset anyone.
Dude you gotta just let it go mentally. More than likely it was just some opportunistic thing, like some ******* in a bad mood just happened to be walking by your car, decided to "vent" at that moment. I know it sucks and is hard to get past, but you'll feel better if you can let it go.

What's the plan for repairs?

And lol @ Sharia law comment

I agree...set up a Gopro or equivalent action camera in your car...I got one on my back seat dash, and I can connect to either battery pack or solar battery recording every four hours looping (32GB SD). Ideally, one needs two cameras, one for the front and the other for the rear capturing. That's my buy...a tripod that mounted rear side window glass that support two cameras.

I looked into camera parking features. I already have a dash cam, but getting one to properly capture footage while parked creates compilations and expense, so I decided to just get a $1,500 Honda daily. It's actually pretty awesome driving a car I don't really care about, and being able to test detailing products and stuff on it.

Unfortunately the M3 has just been sitting in my garage. I've lost motivation in her for the moment. I contacted a couple PDR guys and was told the damage is in a "challenging location" and they weren't sure what kind of result they can deliver.
