Default Best Repair shop in Dallas (Plano area)?

No repairs needed since my last post but I never went back to get the AC fixed after shoddy workmanship from Eurosport (on Coit/190 in Richardson, TX). A girl at work was hearing a sound that I thought was belts, but they said they couldn't find anything wrong. Turned out it had no oil in it! I would have checked had they not been 1/4 mile away and agreed to look at it (at 10:30AM). They sent her on her merry way at 5PM with no oil. On top of that, when I went there with the brake light on the dash they replaced the rear pads/rotors. Then I went in 2 weeks later and said "did you check the front brakes?" Turns out they didn't and I needed front pads and rotors (they said the sensor was worn off completely so it must have needed it prior). To top it all off, they charge almost as much as the dealership. EUROSPORT SUCKS.

That said, I must say Classic BMW did excellent work on my engine and it's run like a champ ever since November. I'm tempted to go there for the new compressor but was going to see if there were any better mechanics (and hopefully cheaper).

Can someone please recommend a mechanic in Plano area that they have gone to for more than 1 year?

Default BMW service in Plano ??

I'm bumping this thread due to the fact that I'm also in need of a reputable and skilled BMW mechanic in the North Texas area.

Funny stuff, never go there. ever.

Autoscope is expensive, but good. Classic has treated me well. I've had good luck with Eurosport too.

Classic is terrible. I bought my M3 there in 2001 and NEVER had a satisfactory repair job done. Even something as simple as replacing the rearview mirror was screwed-up. When they brought the car back to me the clown nose was on top!!! Now if they can't get this done correctly.

I have a previous post about other horrors with Classic. Additionally, I used to really like Stett Performance but since Chad Stett quit doing the work himself it has gone downhill. The last time I put my M in for an oil change I got it back $2,000 later. The seals in the rear-end were leaking; OK fix it. Now the rear-end makes a horrible noise that I'm going to have to have fixed.

They also hit me up for a power steering leak (what BMW doesn't have this) and said a front suspension rod was bent. I took their word for it. Not Chad but knucklehead now running the shop. I don't trust this new guy at all. So sad.

I'm going to try a shop out at Love Field next. I'll let you know how it goes.

I can't find one I sincerely trust. So I do as much of the work as I can myself (and a few buddies).

I live in the dfw area. I DIY all my work, but there is a small indie shop that specializes in BMW's if you are interested let me know.

These are DIY cars anymore. The time you'll spend trying to find someone, then returning for follow-up problems will exceed the time you can fix it yourself.
