Default Gen 2 Eventuri Filter

Anyone had an Eventuri with the Gen 1 Filter and then switched to the Gen 2 Filter and whether or not it makes a noticeable difference at all. From what I read the new Filter increases the flow quite a bit. Maybe it would help with some of the issues members have experienced on here with the Eventuri.

I swapped it. Nothing youll notice. But better design so you might as well replace with it.

I ran the original for about 6 months then switched to the newer version. I noticed a slight difference. I like the design of the new filter over the original. I never had any of the issues some guys do so nothing different as far as that goes with either. I would go with the new one.

That's great to hear, I'm ordering one of these intakes on Monday and suddenly realized that there was a Gen 2 Filter and wanted to make sure that these Evernturi's come with that updated filter and not the older version. Just by going with what the Dyno graphs show at the bottom of that Filter page link I added, Evolve showed gains of 10-12 Horsepower just from changing from the Gen1 to Gen2 Filter, that seems like A LOT! and they seem to be a pretty reputable company and wouldn't think they'd skew those numbers.

Default Gen 2 Eventuri Filter

Realistically I think those HP numbers are for the complete intake not just the filter. FYI I paid around $55 shipped for the newer filter. They are around $80 now.

I guess it's a little bit misleading, but in the Dyno Graph up in upper right hand corner it shows Horsepower gains from the original Filter to the upgraded filter. There are three Graphs and one shows a gain of about 4 hp, but the other two show 10-12 hp gain. Seems like an awful lot, but seems like members are always trying to squeeze out every bit of Horsepower they can out of E46 M3's That car in the Video sounds Awesome by the way.
