Default How Do I Remove the Cigarette Lighter from the Black Plastic Piece

im replacing the ashtray and the sunglass holder

i removed the four screws and have the piece out except for the actual cigarette lighter

do i "unscrew" it ?
is there a clip to push down and pull it out or push it up ?


anyone ?

I just recently replaced that entire housing. Should be two little pins on either side of the lighter housing underneath the assembly. Use a screw driver and push the little pin in while pushing on it...you might have to work it a little. It didn't just slide out or anything. It's in there pretty good.

cig lighter is built into plastic peice if I remember correctly..

wow i didnt think so many people would have done this.. i just switched mine from ashtray to storage package and had to switch that out as well..

like a couple posts above you have to push in two little plastic clips to get it out... it is easy after you have did it... but doing it is a pain...

I think they put the no smoke on it because they dont want someone to think it is a ashtray.
