Default M3 starter motor or ELV

Thought is battery and or alternator.

New battery, new alternator changed and battery registered too.

But problem persist.

Sometime without key can't start, u insert key on third attempt it start

Sometime with key cant start, take out key it start

Elv or starter motor

Please advise

Thanks for the pm

Mechanics has tried using voltmeter

They connect it to startermotor wire connected to ecm.

First crank (cant start as usual)
The voltmeter shows constant 12v

Second crank (can start)
The voltmeter shows 12 drop to 10, then engine fire up n voltage back to 12

Based on this, mechanic concluded is starter motor (the solenoid on it) and advised to change starter motor
