Florida I have this problem almost year round...black interior. The whole interior just soaks up the heat and the a/c doesnt help. Anyone have a decent solution short of wearing extra shirts or perforating the seats and installing a fan? Anyone try sheep skin seat covers (not the look im going for, but if it fixes this problem id consider)?

Just saw the seat ventilation thread and was wondering if anyone has installed it or knows anything about it. MB definitely knew what they were doing with this option.

You could always get those beads the taxi drivers in NYC all have.

I'd like to hear from somebody in a hot zone with alcantara. I have sheepskin and yes it helps a lot, but I don't like the way it looks in an M3. I'm considering replacing the napa in the butt and back area with alcantara if it would work as well as sheepskin at preventing sweat.

Alcantara only helps a little. Still much hotter than cloth. I have also tried the Wetacole (sp?) neoprene seats which are also very hot.

I have sheep skin "vests" for the M3. They run down the center of the back and seat. Works great - almost no sweat even on 110 deg days in AZ. They actually look decent (vs. full sheeps anyway).

I am disappointed that cloth seats arent even an option on most cars anymore...I guess all Americans love the swamp-a$$ effect. Went to the Motor Trend Intl Auto Show this weekend, and did not see cloth on a single (good) car. Although I did notice that cloth center inserts are available on some.

That's one thing I miss about my 350Z Track -- the cloth seats were really good.
