Anyway, if it fits, then I'll pay to import an S50B32 muffler.
Your going with an OEM S50B32 muffler or a supersprint version of the S50B32 muffler?

That is why I was referring if your going aftermarket that body hanging down may not be much an issue as the muffler it self is less bulky then the OEM muffler.

OE was the direction I was leaning.

Is there an s50b32 SS street/magnum? I see "racing" and "steel" (784326). If "steel" is like the SS street, I'd go that route. If it's like the e46 M3's SS sport, that's louder than I want.

There used to be a street version, apparently on the website it only shows the race version

http://www.supersprintna.com/categor...ategory_id/139

Which may be a little more noisier that you want.

International site has two mufflers, I just can't tell what the non "racing" one is.

I believe for the e36 supersprint only made 2 versions the sport and race, which was different then the e46 verisions of street, sport, and race.

I know what you are after because the supersprint street was the first muffler I used on my e46 m3 before i switched to the race version. I know how quiet it is, stock like.

I wanna say the e36 euro sport is slightly louder the the e46 street but quieter then the e46 sport.

As you can see from the pics the mufflers are smaller then the OEM verision, thus you should have to deal with the muffler body hanging issue too much.

Check out this video:

I just called turner (which is now the US SS importer), and they said it's a "street" volume muffler

Yea, I am not to sure about that. I have a feeling it will be slightly louder then the e46 street.

Again you could always add ar25 resonators to tone it down.

It would definitely solve your muffler body hanging issue.

I wonder how much the rest of the E46's exhaust design will contribute to the loudness though. Street volume in an E36 doesn't necessarily mean street volume in an E46. I know it should be similar, but E46s always seemed louder. E46 also will have higher cruising revs (so louder when driving) since we don't have stupidly tall diffs like the E36s did.

According to that arvinmerritor pdf, the E46 exhaust system has 40% less back pressure than the E36 system, which may account for the noise difference.

They're helpful if they get the other driver's attention. Big flashing red lights should get that done.
