It's a hamann spoiler. I found it in a friend's garage already painted Tiag. It's been there for at least 10 years.

I think they're a great tire for the money. The grip levels are IMO on par with the Nitto NT01. They actually seem to be a bit better under braking. They seem to like running at 34-36psi hot. Once I got the pressures figured out I'm able to run consistent lap times during a 20 min session witin about 1/10 a second of each other. My only complaint is they are heavy for a tire which offsets buying light wheels. For $165 a tire in 285/30R18 DOT-R you really can't beat them.

Just a side note, I'm running PFC 11 compound pads and their direct drive rotors all around with pagid RBF. It has been a very consistent brake setup for me which also has helped with my more consistent lap times. I was using Porterfield R4 compound pads and euro floating rotors all around previously. The braking was good but I went through that combo way too fast. The PFC stuff seems to hold up better with a near stock weight car.

Update from two weekends ago. I went back to BRP CW13. New PB was set at 2:00.12. Running a sub 2 in a pretty much stock weight/stock power E46 M3 is proving to be difficult for me.

Update pictures with a new front lip and a 18x10.5 square setup:

I had it powdercoated in the closest silver they had to Tiag. Then they clear powdercoated it to give it a deep shine.

Went out with the BMW CCA to instuct at the Oct. 26th Buttonwillow driving school (CW1) followed by running CW13 with SpeedSF on the 27th.

I decided not to tow this time so I put the street wheels back on for the drive up and back.

This time around I had 275/35r18 Nitto NT01s on and added a E36 M3 style gurney flap from Brett. The larger diameter of the tires seems to help a bit as I was finding I had to upshift to 4th and back down to 3rd before the cotton corners previously on the 285/30r18 Federals. With the larger tire I just run out to the top of 3rd before entering the brake zone. The car felt great around CW1. Ended up ending the day with a 2:07. There was a fair amount of traffic on track as the BMW CCA isn't notoriously know for being a fast group. Their focus is driver education and safety. Perfect environment for learning and driver development. bad environment if you're trying to PB.

Saturday comes around and after almost 2 years of trying I finally broke the 2 minute mark. The biggest factor in shaving almost 2 seconds off my previous PB (2:00.4) was learning how to interrupt the data out of the AIM Solo. I hate to say it but running a sub 2 is pretty easy once you understand where you're lacking. It was pretty cool to be able to take passengers out and give them a sub 2 ride as well.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with how the car performs with it's current setup. I've purposely avoided power mods and I think it's paid off as I've had to learn suspension tuning as well as momentum driving. Now that I've met my goal I'm not sure what direction I should take with the car. It's pretty fun as is but lacks that I'm trying to kill you" factor. I may finally do headers and and intake and go from there.
