Congrats! Watch a bunch of you tube videos and you will be up to speed in no time. Then you can really start to perfect your pictures. Highly recommend Adobe Lightroom, there is so much you can do post processing.

You don't have to have the best gear to get great shots. Practice makes perfect. I would expect myself to be so much better by now but unfortunately like with anything if you don't keep at it you won't get better.

Looking forward to more great shots

Finally got around to installing the Mason clutch pedal and TMS black pedal kit.

Luckily, I could put the TMS pedal on the Mason clutch pedal before going into the car. Good thing as it needs a little more work than the OE plastic pedal would.

TMS, like any pedal sets I've seen, gives you 3 screws, but this Mason pedal has a pretty large, square body behind the flat pedal, so it's better to go with 4 screws and straddle the pedal body.

I also had to make little spacers to clear this large body or "leg" that the flat pedal is welded to, since the pre-determined holes in the TMS pedals aren't quite wide enough.










Time for the other pedals and install the mason pedal. It's easy to get access to the area, just remove the kick panel. The fun comes when you're in a strange position that's putting pressure on a kidney, with blood rushing to your head, trying to get the ***** clip off the pedal pivot

Drilling holes for the brake pedal. I held up the TMS pedal to the bare metal pedal and used a punch to mark my holes first.




Installing and fastening the brake pedal. Used 3 screws here as the pedal "leg" or body, where it meets the flat pedal face, isn't in your way too much for the bottom, centered screw.




Brake pedal done, moving on to the gas pedal which is easier, being plastic.




Gas done, time to swap out the clutch.




Got the stock clutch pedal out (and the aftermarket clutch stop). One of those things that's a lot faster to do once you know all the little things required.




Stock vs. Mason pedals. Here are the 3 common bushing choices - stock plastic (grey), Nylon or Delrin (white) and Brass.




I've read to go with brass for the clutch and nylon for the brake. The brass ones fit perfectly in the mason pedal, luckily. The nylon ones barely fit; they would need some beveling me thinks - we'll see if the brake pedal is also too tight of a fit, as that's where they'll be going next.

All done!

Looks great! I still have to install my TMS pedal set... They've been sitting gathering dust along with other parts. I've been so busy lately, I haven't been able to do much on my car

How are you liking the Mason pedal?

Pedals - Wow, perfect. Maybe too grippy. Maybe that goes down slightly with a bit of wear? Slightly larger footprint than stock, especially the gas, which I like. Very light and well made. TONS of grip. You won't be loosing your footing. I'm actually wondering if the time it takes to move the foot from the brake back to gas is going to be slowed down at all - seriously.

Mason pedal - This is a tough one to describe AND quantify, as a worthwhile mod, which won't make some people happy. I just decided to take it as a good omen that I have never seen a bad review, plus my desire to move the pedal inwards more (at rest) made me pull the trigger on lets be honest, a pretty unnecessary mod.

Yes, I love it and glad I did it I have no evidence to give anybody really. Most helpful thing I can think to say is that it doesn't take any more effort (that I can tell) to depress as opposed to the feeling a 30-40% short throw shifter would cause - if you follow.

Not too much going on M3-wise with a baby almost here, but I've got a bit of content to put down.

Recently installed a set a AP headers for a local member:




Then me and DINANSM5 installed an Evolve airbox in his 04 TiAg 6spd slickie. He went with the Lang Racing AEM MAP sensor and chose Paul Claude for his tuning!




Here's the AEM MAP sensor inline. It's a pretty nice little sensor that hides well in the ECU area:




Still need to hide the MAF harness and route the IAT wires and drive it to get some data to Paul for tuning.

I got my rear strut bar installed and was swapping rear springs too - thought this made a cool shot!




Unfortunately, my town has been rocked with a mass shooting and crazy fires lately

I was on my way home to this the same day I learned of the shooting:




So had to evacuate and lived with my in-laws for a few days

Safe (relatively lol) in LA:




Next I'm looking for 300lb springs for the fronts to test out FCM's flatride idea. Still got a ZHP rack to put in with all new lines, so I'll do all that at the same time plus a new clutch line and slave I've been putting off.

Got some cool updates. Missed my scorza exhaust so decided to go back to it. My friend loves it too (he's been using it), so I decided to just buy another one - a lightly tickled SGT one popped up for a great price, so jumped on it! I coincidentally had already scored a cheap set of sgt 82mm raw titanium tips a few months ago, how convenient!






What?! Two?? Old skool vs new school




Still need to take the SS Sport off and get the scza up, but soon. In the meanwhile...

Got the 300lb Hypercoils (running 550lb rear) during cyberweek! Also decided to go back to spacers again; 12mm this time for a more aggressive fitment as I barely drive the car and practically is really not much of a concern.

Same size, just lower rate (440->300):

I didn't like, visually, how close the brembos were to the wheels, but with the spacers now, I think it looks so much better:




Very happy with the stance, though I think I'll lower both F & R just a hair more. Got 10mm spacers for the rear as well, now that there's more room due to the new camber arms, so I hope to make those small adjustments and be done! (For a little while at least lol)

Hard to give too much feedback on the "flat ride" spring rate ratio (300/550), but it feels good. Not life changing, but an improvement, more composed. I did go to full soft on the struts from a half click off with the 440s. I miiiight swap for 350, it's a little soft up front. If I do, per FCM's spread sheet, I'd have to get a 600lb+ rear. Might just get a hotchkis front sway to tighten it back up. I'm not sure what I'll do yet, but I'll keep it like this for a while. Hard to judge when you only do 2k a year
