Is this with your foot OFF of the throttle? If not, can you make a short video of the downshift WHILE you are braking?

My foot is on the throttle. When i downshift while braking it rev matches perfectly and its quick. I will try to get a vid of this.

I have been driving my M3 with these new parameters, its brutal fast at the S5 level.
Its a huge improvement and it works perfect with the SMG CSL flash. This so worth it!

I'm excited to see vid! Thanks for doing this, in advance. I get my car back in 2 days, so I'm eager! :-)

Do I need to reset the SMG adaptation? I do however heard horror stories after SMG adaptation was done.

It needs to be done in the proper order... It is also a requirement after module replacement or module updates per TIS.

You can do the adaptions with INPA or DIS but keep in mind that you need an interface which regonizes the ignition otherwise it won't work. The cheap interfaces don't have this feature, they just simulate ignition and battery voltage.

About rev matching:

The curve KL_SMG_N_ZIEL_OFF_AH stores three rpm values for a specific deceleration rate. Are these the rpm which will be added? For example for deceleration of 2m/s the rpm value is 1000. Does it mean that in case of a downshift I add 1000 rpm to the current rpm value to match the speed of the lower gear?

In this case a higher rpm value would result in more aggressive rev matching, but we've got to make sure that not too much rpm are added otherwise it will be jerky.

Hey all, I did a file for someone that is running a 3.91 rear diff and I'm looking for feedback, but I can't remember who it was.

I'm working on improving the rev-match for guys with 3.91/4.10 rears and have adjusted the target RPM's on my car, but I'm running the stock diff. The idea is to better match the rpm targets to the increased engine overrun (braking) speed induced by going to lower ratio gears.

If anything, could someone chime in on just how much of an engine speed increase there is, compared to the stock diff?
