Look up how far Phil Mickelson hits and you'll see that a 7 iron 180 on the fly isn't "eballin". Maybe for M3F off topic it is.

The pros are just exponentially better with accuracy and their short games. A lot of golf is swing technique and as much as you don't want to admit.....body physique.

Yea, Frank.... compared to a notoriously long iron shooter, obviously not eballin. get yer shit right.

Who cares about the tour average of 165-180? Those guys make less than 6 figures.

lol yep. So I'll add to that. I've never been good and used to play a handful of times per year. I'm stoked if I hit in the 90's but consistency is lacking..

I played on Sunday for the first time in over 3 years. It was awesome. Didn't even keep score on the front 9 but got a few things fixed and shot a 48 on the back. I was stoked! I know that's terrible but it's awfully good for me.

But I digress.. I was bs'ing with my buddy on the tee on a par 3 200 yards. He's better than me so I joked every hole that I'd only need 1 club shorter than him to hit as far. He puts his 5 iron on the green and bets me $1 that I couldn't hit my 6 iron hole high (200 yards). I get up to the tee and hit it nice and thin into the sandtrap about 5 feet past the hole (and 30 feet right ). Easiest dollar I ever made. :ymmv:

I should probably add that we picked up beer at the turn. Might have something to do with why I was markedly improved on the back

Wurd. Lets also ignore the fact you went to a stiffer shaft and gained distance.

Science... How does it work?

Also you said 190 yards.
