Probably should eliminate redundant XDFs anyway. 2501 and 2701 have the same layout for example. In general if the major version (0x02/0x8002) matches between two tunes, they've got the same layout.

Is 2701 in github more accurate/maintained than the 2501?

I can but i Always put changes in a PR on projects with other developers. Course of habit.
