Default M Roadster Hardtop

Due to recent events, I have found myself now driving a 1999 BMW M Roadster, carbon black on black. Living in the midwest, I was curious to see if any of you knew where I could potentially find a hardtop for said M roadster, preferably black but it can always be painted. Thanks!

I'd recommend a search of eBay and Craiglist using one of those "search everywhere sites." Here's the thing, though - every one you find will be very far away, likely Florida or California, and the seller will steadfastly refuse to ship due to the size. Be prepared to go get it, be prepared to move quickly because there are always people scrounging for them, and resign yourself to not finding one in your car's color.

Personally, I wouldn't bother - modern lined canvas tops are fully up to midwestern winters. My Z4 roadster was fine, my Solstice was fine, my Boxster is fine. They do look cool though - someone on my street's got a deep blue Z3 with hardtop.

Oh, alright. Yeah, I wasn't expecting to find one that was color matched. Do you know of any companies that make them still? Thanks for the help though

There's no aftermarket Z4 top, since there was never enough demand. You can still get a new one from the dealer, but it's over three grand. You can cruise Zpost, Bimmerforums, and Bimmerfest for used ones. Someone's got one for sale on Zpost right now, asking $2700.

Looking into stocking there are a few black saphire Z3 tops still avaible, none in your exact color but at least it'd be a shade of black.
