Default AKG Shifter vs RTD Shifter

Hey guys,

Debating among the 2 and coming to you guys for some solid input..

I know you're all going to ask.. weekend car/track car/daily etc... i plan to weekend drive with some spirited backroad and looking to do a few track days this summer..

I like the height of the AKG and how simple it is, then i also like how the RTD looks/feels..

Has anyone experienced both? Pros/cons?

All info is appreciated.

-Frank

I'm currently using AKG (AKG red series diff/subframe/engine/trans mounts)...I do enjoy it quite a bit but i'm always wanting that CAE shifter but can't seem to swallow the price. If there is a good holiday sale on the RTD i might jump on that as the price point is much easier to stomach!

I would love to hear about any direct comparisons from anyone who has personally used both as well!

I believe someone is selling a CAE shifter on here. $1000 I think.

I just swapped to manual with a CAE. Holy shit is it epic. Worthwhile purchase if I've ever made one.

Saw that as well and didn't want to comment in his thread. He's got a bunch of nice stuff for sale.

RTD > AKG, but my car is track only. The self centering spring is a game changer.

It's second hand, but the shop who does all the work on my car has tried them all, says RTD is his favorite based on quality and price. I subsequently got one on the last group buy and really like it.
