Default P1189 & P0173 (Done searching )

Hello all, so I started getting these codes on my car.

I went replaced all 02 sensors since they were due and I thought that is what was causing the code ( had it done at a shop ), however the code still remains.

I thought it was on due to adaptation on new 02's but guess I was wrong. So went back to stock intake to confirm no leaks on the intake channel.

Before you say its the CVV, these codes are particular to bank 2 sensor 1, bank 2 fuel trim.

Any ideas what is causing this ? No other codes.

Car idles at 750 then realizes its running lean, and adjusts itself to 650 ish to obtain the airfuel ratio.....

Thank you for your help

NTK sensors, I also looked at the voltage readings, all 3 other sensors showed a .90+ while bank 2 sensor 1 was at .88 ish below .90 constant

There are no Bosch sensors, they are NTK if you buy NTK and NTK if you buy "Bosch".

You have a leak of some sort. What are the fuel trim adaptions long term and short term?

What are your short and long term fuel trims. Your codes are for an air fuel ratio compensation (99% of the time it is an air leak), not a component failure. There is a logical process to this, no guessing required. Those LTFT and STFT numbers will tell us exactly what is happening.

Ya, LOL!!! I bought the NTK sensors ‘for my car’ a while back and found that the NTK sensor leads were about an inch shorter than the BMW sensor/leads they were replacing. They did fit, but I replaced them w/Bosch pretty quickly. ..…I did not do a BMW, Bosch, NTK comparison......dang. Will do soon.
